BTEC LEVEL 3 ART & DESIGN - PROJECT; BODY

This is the fourth project for the course and the topic of the project revolves around the body. I really like this project as we not only work with the outer view of the body, we also worked with the inner part of the body such as other layers in the body - cells and etc. I had the experience to improve my Photoshop skills also my printmaking skills as I've done quite a lot of media pieces in this project as well as printmaking.

Outcomes from this project;

Above images are the ones that i've designed based on the topic that was given. The first two images was an outcome of my hand drawn design from my Textile work in which i've scanned and transfer it to Photoshop to add different colours. Whereas the other images are some of the final pieces that I've created for Media.

Pages from the sketchbook of this project;

As you can see from the above photos below, i've presented the different designs that i've hand drawn and I also showed the tests of dye and the stencils that i've used on the pages above. The pages above truly shows the process of the printmaking that i've created.

The photo of the page above is a test page of the different kind of print making ; traditional and non traditional in which i've made to test out different techniques in process of creating my final piece for the collage that I was making.

I've also did a few artist research and above shows one of the artist that I've researched on ; Pablo Picasso. By doing the artist research, it helped me to learn more about the pieces that I'm doing and it also helped me to get inspired by learning on how they did their pieces and with what view and technique did they use to make the pieces.

These some drawings of the study of the eyes, hands, feet nose and body. The drawings above helped me to improve my drawing skills as well as help me to understand the correct proportion in drawing the human body. The drawings also served as an inspiration and resource for the final piece that I was creating.

Above photos shows more of the artists that I've researched on. I've also recreated the techniques of the artist on the sketchbook page - in which i've presented the research that i've done and images of their works next/on to a piece that compliments the work.

From the designs that I've created, I then developed it into different garments pieces that I thought would fit the print designs. I thought the designs turned out really well and I am very pleased with how the designs turned out.

Above are some more images of the pages of the Media Print that I've created.

For mixed media printmaking, I've used both traditional and non traditional printing techniques in making my final piece. Above is the photo of the piece that I've created.

Overall, I think I've done quite well. Even though the works isn't the best work that I've done, I am very pleased as it was my first time to create artworks with the techniques and mediums that I wasn't entirely comfortable with. Therefore, I am really pleased as most of the outcomes turned out really well than what I was expecting.

BTEC LEVEL 3 ART & DESIGN - PROJECT; CROWDS & PROTEST

Video of my sketchbook for this project;

Poster and photograph from the project;

Above is the poster that I've designed for the my final media piece. I've used the image of a model with the t-shirt that I've designed for the final piece of my textile work. I am really pleased with how the two final pieces turned out.

Pages from the sketchbook of this project;

The photographs above of are the pages of my research for this project. I did quite a lot of research for this project as I wanted to have enough resource so that I can get more ideas and inspiration.

The pictures above are of my ideas and development pages for my t-shirt design. I started out with making a mood board which allows me to lay out my ideas on the topic that i was protesting on. I then test out different designs of the slogan that I've chosen with different fonts, sizes, illustrations, positions and colours.

I also did a few artist research in other to get inspirations and learn from other artist on how they design their t shirts. As you can see above, I've created a page that shows my final t shirt design. I am very pleased with how it turned out as it shows clearly on what I'm protesting and it is very sharp and simple to understand.

The photographs above are the pages of the evaluation of my final pieces for fine art, media and also a photography page of my t shirt design. Overall, I learnt a lot from this project. I had to think on my theme and I had to think of a powerful slogan, image, body language and also the illustration that will came up strong and powerful to reflect the theme. Although it was hard at first, I am very pleased with how I've managed to finish the project in time and produce great outcomes from this project.

BTEC LEVEL 3 ART & DESIGN - PROJECT; JOURNEY

This is the second project that I've done in this course. The project required us to record our journey around Windsor and create final pieces based on the individual journey that was recorded. I really enjoyed this project as I had the chance to try out different distinctive media in creating the final pieces.

Video of my sketchbook for this project;

I decided to keep on making videos of my sketchbook as I wanted to show more of it. This is because I didn't want to just show the good ones, I also wanted to show the bad ones and show how I can progress in the future.

Pages from the sketchbook;

Above are the drawings and pictures that I've drawn and took from my journey around Windsor. The drawings and pictures helped me in creating my pieces as it become the base starter and ideas to my final pieces.

The photo below is the test page of cut outs that i've done as test and samples. I tested it out as different illustrations and on different mediums to find out which will suite me the best.

This is the page of the evaluation of my stop motion video that I've created. The stop motion shows my view of Windsor; people from around the world. The idea of my storyline came up as I walked around Windsor and I realised that there is always people from around the world that visits/lives around/in Windsor. It was really difficult to get them to be in my videos and there were no way possible that I can do the video without asking for help. But, i am really happy with how the final results turned out. (Below is the stop motion video that I've created. I hope you enjoy it!)

I also did artist research and responds to their works with different mediums and materials. This helped me to get inspired and get ideas for my final pieces.

Above page are some of the photos that I've photographed and edited from my journey around Windsor.

I had a wonderful time during this project. This is because I had the chance to learn new things that I haven't experienced before and I also thought that my final pieces came out to be quite good.

BTEC LEVEL 3 ART & DESIGN - PROJECT; COLOUR

Video of my sketchbook for this project;

Above is the video that I made of my sketchbook for this project. This is the first project that I've done in this course and i really enjoyed it. I like how we started with the basics and we built our way up to create our final pieces.  Below are some pictures of my works from my sketchbook that I've taken.

Pages from the sketchbook;

This is the colour theory research page and the colour mixing page that i've done which helped me to learned the more about the basics of colour.

We also went to the Tate Modern - in which i've picked up a postcard of Piet Mondrian's work. Above is my interpretation  of the piece - which i've made using the collage technique. The reason i've chosen this postcard is that the simplistic that it shows attracts me the most. There is limited colour palette which brings a contemporary vibe to the piece.

Other than learning about the colour theory, I also learned about the Fibonacci Sequence which helped me to create better pieces.

I also did a few artist research which helps me to understand on how colour is use in other artists's work.  It also helped me to be inspired and get ideas in producing my final pieces.

The image above is the final evaluation page that i've done of all the final pieces that i've created. I really enjoyed this project and I think i've done quite well for a first project of the course. This project helped me to built up my skills that will be sharpen so that i can improve as a better artist with the next project in the future.
